Privacy Policy – Japa Counter

Last updated: August 2026

Japa Counter is a personal japa (mantra) counting app built for spiritual practice. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains how the app handles your data.

Data We Collect

Japa Counter does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. All information you enter — including your name, daily goal, chant counts, and session history — is stored exclusively on your device using local storage.

Data Storage

All app data is stored locally on your device using Hive, a lightweight local database. No data is sent to any server, cloud service, or third party.

Internet Access

Japa Counter uses an internet connection only to download the Poppins font on first launch (via Google Fonts). No personal data is transmitted during this process.

Analytics and Advertising

Japa Counter contains no analytics, tracking, advertising, or third-party SDKs that collect user data.

Children's Privacy

Japa Counter does not knowingly collect any data from children under 13. The app contains no user accounts, social features, or data collection of any kind.

Changes to This Policy

If we make changes to this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
